Videos Are Not Taṣweer

Anyone saying videos or video-calling is not tasweer (picture-making) has no idea what videos are nor photography in the first place.

Therefore it is impressible for them to speak about the matter, as anything they would say stems from ignorance, not knowledge.

Determining what videos are is not up to a faqīh, it's up to an expert in photography. Just like determining whether a medecine is dangerous or not is up to a pharmacist or a medical doctor.

Please refer to experts in the matter of videos and photography, and you'll realize that none of them deny videos or photography being a modern way of making pictures. Nothing less, nothing more.

It doesn't even require an expert, because it's so obvious. Every nation calls them "images". Only Muslims who say photography is permissible disagree with that.

Isn't this ridiculous enough to be a wake-up call for anyone still imitating others in ignorance?
